Life has a way of leading us exactly where we’re meant to be, even when the journey is unexpected.

I graduated from Wellesley College in 1985 with a degree in Economics and began my career on Wall Street at Salomon Brothers. While finance was my profession, health and nutrition were always my passion. For years, I immersed myself in research—driven by an unshakable belief that what we eat and how we live can profoundly shape our well-being.

But it wasn’t until 2013 that this passion became deeply personal. My husband was diagnosed with aggressive bladder cancer, and doctors at Sloan Kettering insisted that radical surgery was his only chance of survival. Something inside both of us refused to accept that answer without exploring every possible alternative. I poured myself into research—scouring medical journals, consulting experts, and uncovering therapies beyond conventional treatment. It was a race against time, but through a combination of diet, lifestyle changes, and integrative and alternative medical interventions, including 7 surgeries in 9 months, my husband not only survived but has been cancer-free for over 11 years. That experience changed me forever.

In 2017, after completing my training as a functional Medicine Health coach,  my journey took another turn when my mother suffered a massive stroke, leaving her with almost no cognitive or motor function. Once again, I turned to research—this time focusing on neuroplasticity and the groundbreaking work of Dr. Dale Bredesen in reversing cognitive decline. Inspired by my findings, I trained in Dr. Bredesen’s ReCODE protocol, learning how to identify and address the root causes of neurodegeneration through a systems-based, functional medicine approach. Applying these principles to my mother’s care, I watched in awe as she slowly regained her memory, mobility, and even her love of reading. It was nothing short of miraculous.

As I deepened my expertise in functional medicine and brain health, I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Michael Carter, a like-minded physician who shared my passion for a truly integrative approach to healing. Together, we founded The Brain and Body Wellness Center, a practice dedicated to helping people reclaim their health, optimize cognitive function, and take proactive steps to prevent disease.

These deeply personal experiences have shaped me into the Functional Medicine Health Coach I am today. I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed, to face terrifying diagnoses, and to question whether hope is even possible. But I also know the power of knowledge, persistence, and a holistic approach to healing.

My mission is to help others navigate their own health challenges—not just as a coach, but as someone who truly understands what’s at stake. No one should have to go through this alone. I’m here to help you find answers, take back control, and discover a path to healing that feels right for you.
